To promote independence and employment among young women from economically weaker sections, the Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati launched a free Police Recruitment Training program in 2006. This initiative aims to prepare girls for recruitment into police services by equipping them with the necessary physical, academic, and medical readiness.
The program offers structured pre-training sessions at no cost, focusing on building physical endurance, academic proficiency, and medical fitness—the three key pillars of police recruitment. Participants undergo regular physical training sessions to enhance strength and stamina, along with theory classes covering topics required for the written examination. Medical fitness checks are also conducted to ensure eligibility for the police force.
To date, over 620 girls have successfully joined police services through this program, which continues to transform lives by offering meaningful career opportunities and boosting the self-confidence of women.
The training not only empowers participants professionally but also instills a sense of discipline, self-respect, and societal responsibility. It plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between potential and opportunity for girls who otherwise may not have access to such career paths. This initiative is a testament to the Trust’s commitment to women’s empowerment and inclusive development.
