Squint Removal Camp

The Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati believes that health is a key pillar of holistic development. In alignment with this vision, the Trust organizes Squint Removal Camps targeted at underprivileged girls in Baramati, Daund, Indapur, and Purandar talukas. These medical camps aim to correct squint (strabismus), a condition that, if untreated, can lead to low self-esteem, poor vision, and social isolation.

The initiative focuses on identifying, diagnosing, and surgically treating young girls suffering from squint, many of whom lack access to basic eye care. The camp ensures that all services—from initial screening to successful surgery and post-operative care—are provided completely free of cost.

Highly qualified ophthalmologists and medical staff partner with the Trust to carry out the procedures using safe and modern techniques. As a result, dozens of girls have regained not just their vision, but also their confidence and social acceptance.

By restoring both eyesight and self-worth, the Squint Removal Camp goes beyond medical treatment; it gives these girls a renewed sense of possibility in education, social life, and personal development. The initiative is yet another reflection of the Trust’s commitment to serving the underserved and creating a healthier, more equitable society.
