Economically Challenged Students Education

The Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati is committed to making quality education accessible to economically challenged students. To ensure that no deserving student is deprived of academic opportunities due to financial constraints, the Trust has introduced various initiatives such as special scholarships, freeships, and the Earn and Learn Scheme. These programs have brought hope and support to hundreds of needy students from Baramati and surrounding areas.

One of the most impactful initiatives is the “Karmaveer” Mess Facility, which offers free accommodation and meals to economically disadvantaged girls. So far, 656 girls have benefitted from this program, receiving not just nourishment but also a secure and supportive environment to pursue their studies. Notably, in 2006, the topper in Std. XII was a beneficiary of this initiative.

The Earn and Learn Scheme, another pillar of support, benefits over 100 students annually, enabling them to work part-time while continuing their education. These students are engaged in campus-based tasks that help them earn a stipend while gaining valuable experience.

Through these initiatives, the Trust has created a nurturing ecosystem that promotes academic success, self-reliance, and dignity for students from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring that financial hardship does not stand in the way of their dreams.
